Gorham Savings Bank opened its first GSB Express office at 118 Congress Street, Munjoy Hill, in Portland. The new location features the newest in banking technology – the Interactive Teller Machine (ITM). While it can be used as an ATM, its digital technology allows Gorham Savings Bank employees to assist customers remotely. In addition to the virtual teller capabilities, there is a standard ATM machine and office space for in-person transactions.

Christopher Claudio is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Winxnet in Portland. Winxnet is an IT outsourcing and consulting firm with offices across New England and the Southeast. His primary responsibilities include corporate strategic direction, business development and sales.

LaunchPad Winner 2015


Gorham Savings Bank is pleased to announce Flowfold as its third annual LaunchPad Competition winner. LaunchPad was created to help fund the growth of a Maine business. It not only celebrates great business ideas, it also provides the resources to help bring these ideas to life. Flowfold was named this year’s winner after a live, high-energy competition on June 18th.

A panel of independent judges recently selected ten Maine businesses from a pool of 88 applicants to vie for a $30,000 cash award in Gorham Savings Bank’s third annual LaunchPad business plan competition. The community is now being asked to vote for the entrepreneur they believe will best utilize the funds to help grow their business.

The public is encouraged to visit from now through May 15 to view each business summary – describing the product or service, and how they would use the $30,000 award – and then vote for the semifinalist of their choice....


This season, Gorham Savings Bank teamed up with the Portland Pirates for the inaugural Saves for Charityinitiative. For each save made by Pirates goaltenders at home this season, Gorham Savings Bank made a $10 donation to the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital.

Cybercriminals are always looking for ways to extort your money and tax season is no exception. These scammers use high pressure tactics in hopes that you will respond – a voicemail message left on your home phone claiming that the IRS is filing a law suit unless you call a number in Washington D.C., or a phony IRS phishing email.

Don’t be a victim of fraud – do not call the number, and delete those emails. Remember to never give out personal information to anyone unless you have initiated the contact.

This week, Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maine will host their annual holiday parties and by the kindness of their community, hundreds of Club members, young and old, will have a holiday gift to unwrap.  The Winter Wishes program through Gorham Savings Bank was able to collect 230 presents for Clubhouses in Sagamore Village, Riverton Park, and downtown Portland - just in time for the holidays.
