Earlier today, we learned that bank and credit union customers in the area have been receiving phishing text messages. These messages cite issues such as your debit card is locked or has been placed on a “blocked list” and directs the recipient to call a number in the text or respond to the text. When the number is called or there is a response to the text, there is ultimately a request for the full debit card number.

The application period for the 2016 LaunchPad competition begins April 1st  

We have increased the prize for our annual business competition, LaunchPad, from $30,000 to $50,000. The program, now in its fourth year, is designed to help fund the growth of a promising, early-stage Maine business.
